At the age of 9 to 18, most teen-agers need lots of calories in the body to support the rapid growth of the skeleton, muscles and help them to increase the volume of blood. They need vitamins, calcium, protein and minerals to make them healthy and active during the day. For parents, make sure that you give healthy foods for your children at school. Advice them to eat their lunch and snacks at school.
